Drywall, Plaster, Stucco, E.I.F.S., Acoustical , Veneer Stone and Fireproofing are all a part of the walls & ceilings industry. The South Central Wall, Ceiling & Plaster Association (formerly, the Texas Lathing and Plastering Contractors Association) is an organization for the promotion of quality methods and practices in these trades. Since 1952 the Association members have established the workmanship standards for the industry in Texas.
The Texas Bureau for Lathing and Plastering (TBLP) is an industry promotional and educational organization funded by the SCWCPA to serve the construction industry. The Bureau has established design and specifications standards for the industry in Texas.
Together the Association and its Affiliate organization, the Bureau, are dedicated to seeing that architects, general contractors, builders and the public receive good specifications and quality work on all phases of the walls & ceilings industry in Texas.

The South Central Wall, Ceiling & Plaster Association is pleased to announce General Contractor member Skanska USA Building, Inc.
Executive Director, Eddie McCormick says, "Our GC program has been a work in progress since the summer of 2009. After changing our focus to educating the "Walls & Ceilings" industry, developing a membership level for GC's was important."
The SCWCPA has been a technical resource for GC's and Architects for a long time. GC's often call the SCWCPA Office to request technical assistance and site visits. The SCWCPA is the only regional trade association that has this resource.
By providing a membership level for GC's, the Association could continue to grow while also being that independent bond between our Contracors, Associates and now GC's. And now with our strong relationship with Municipality Code Officials, all of our members will benefit by being able to network with each other and resolving potential issues before they arise.
